Lock

We had hoped to make it to Skipton, where my friend is having his boat blacked next week, but we made it as far as Gargrave which isn't too far off, and there were lots of these to negotiate.  Luckily we managed to pair up with a couple of other boats at different points which helped a lot.  So today I learned how to do locks, and had a go at driving (it's probably not called that on a boat).

Last night was probably the most silent I have ever experienced; very still, and not even bird noises.  Now I'm back home, and I am having that swaying feeling that you get after being on a boat for a while.  I am quite susceptible to motion sickness so I am feeling a little odd now.
