The Family Favourites

Grandma's cheesy biscuits, as they are known, are the firm family favourites when it comes to a savoury type biscuits and we only bake them when the family are together.  Vera (Bob's mum) used to bring them up every time she visited and would bring the kids tea and cheesy's in bed.  They're one of those things that just make you feel a part of something special.  

As were the hotcakes that Bob made this morning, which used to be the regular Sunday morning breakfast special, soaked in maple syrup with a side of crispy bacon.  

Zoe is responsible for these biscuits and sending everyone home with a large jar of them.  There's even a jar for Tom for when he arrives home later this week to Adelaide from Rome.  Sadly Mum left too early for hers - big mistake!

Alex's birthday tomorrow and it was lovely to have everyone (except Tom, of course) together for a short while.
