Champagne Maison Mercier

Eugéne Mercier envisioned immense champagne cellars totalling 18 kilometers in length. It took six years to dig these impressive cellars on a single level of nearly 45 meters under the earth starting 1871. In 1885, he was the first open his cellars to the public. Also today you can visit them in Épernay, 68-70 Avenue de Champagne.
