Stanley

Another wet day.

This is the view, up the hill, to Stanley from the Trans-Pennine Trail from Stanley Ferry. Walked by my dog, Tess, and I this morning on our way to Bottomboat and back. It's a wonderful nature corridor between the main road and the river and absolutely full of marvels. Mostly moist marvels today!

This idyllic walk is a bit spoiled by the continuing works on the sewerage plant about half-way. The smell is appalling!! I will not describe the bubbling vats of stuff just 10 yards inside the fence, but Tess was very interested.
