Canalside walk

Today we took our guests for a walk from Wilmcote alongside the canal to the centre of Stratford (on Avon). This huge dragonfly kept trying to land on Doreen before it flew off into the nearby hedge.
When we arrived in Stratford we ate our lunch outside a little coffee shop before having a quick trot around inside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (we left C outside with the dogs). One of my extras is of some paper boats - these were made from fake (well I think they were fake) bank notes, sheets of stamps and various printed paper. The boats were part of an exhibition called "Sea Markings" by Susan Stockwell which was being held inside the theatre. Her inspiration was inspired by the thought that we are all connected  through money, travel, and trade. I fought off the urge to open some windows and watch them sail across the floor, through the door, down the stairs and into the River Avon.
The other photo is a very colourful narrow boat on the canal which was selling his wares made from rope.
When we had finished in Stratford we caught the train back to Wilmcote for the grand price of £1.60. This was the boys maiden voyage on a train - their third birthday present for yesterday's big day.
