Spot the Heron!

Rebecca and I took Ruby over the common last night and realised under the canopy of the trees and fading light, that the nights are slowly drawing in.

12 hours later, at 9 this morning, I took Ruby back over the common for a stroll. Walking around Queensmere I have to keep Ruby on the lead. I took lots of the heron close up but they were all blurry as Ruby wouldn't stay still!!

It has been a lovely warm, chilled day. On my evening stroll around the 'grounds' I think I may have spotted a Mr & Mrs Kestrel on the lawns but I didn't manage a shot.

P.s the heron is the little white dot to the right of the nesting box ;-))
