Climbing euonymus

The climbing euonymus or winter creeper, Euonymus fortunei, was introduced in1907 as a horticultural groundcover. It has now become, as so many introductions can do, invasive. This one is growing on one of our hedge trees and I shall have to attack it. Probably cut down as much as possible and then use Roundup. It is not an unattractive little flower. The birds will eat the fruits and spread the plants with seeds in the droppings. A job for cooler weather!
