Where the Light Gets In

Safe Haven

retirement home
for old wolves
a very good deed

It's situated a few minutes' drive from our home; yet it was the first time we  visited (don't laugh) Coat Fur  (meaning "Wise Wood" in Breton) Wolf Shelter. The refuge opened in 2006 and welcomes wolves who had been used in shows, or are too old to be kept in zoos. They are very well taken care of, have space and live with their fellow wolves. This is an Arctic Wolf: a couple of them have arrived back in November from one of the biggest zoos in France.
