BBQ Day

We were invited to a BBQ today. Cosmo was one of the hosts, but at this point seems to have lost interest. This must have been a rare moment of repose for Cosmo. She had a great time during the day, and was always up to something..

There were some children there much of the time. Some were to be chased and teased by Cosmo into thinking she is as big as she thinks she is. Others were to be played with, and maybe sometimes they were to be tolerated. No children were bitten despite the exuberance of the day.

The event started in the early afternoon and carried on until late. Apart from the moment when I took this photograph I don't think Cosmo had a moments rest. She will have been a tired dog when she eventually went to bed.

We were moderately lucky with the weather. It was not too cold, but there were a couple of torrential downpours. By this time most of the cooking had been done, and we were able to shelter under the gazebo. It stood up to the weather very well.

Cosmo was able to restrain her usual inclination to do some gardening and so managed not to get too muddy and remain moderately clean. I think she went inside during the worst of the rain.
