Wonderful Copenhagen

It took me a few hours to warm to Copenhagen. Not knowing where we were heading, no specific plans meant we ambled around on arrival.

We settled in quickly and after visiting the Glyptoteket we soon found our stride. From overdoing it Friday night which resulted in me being over honest with some strangers, Saturday we strolled to find the mermaid, along with everyone else.. The crowds were crazy. The walk to the mermaid however was great and we did drop into the Design Museum. In the evening we saw Leaves the Opera.

Sunday we visited Christiania, Andy was unfortunately crapped on.. Should've really taken a photo, looked like an egg had been cracked over his head, an un-rushed lunch, stroll to the Botanical Gardens and then went into the Tivoli in the evening to ride the roller coasters and other adrenaline rides.

In all its proved to be an amazing city, compact, friendly and unrushed. The hotel First Hotel 27 was brilliantly located.

The journey back to the airport made much more entertaining by yet another friendly Dane

Oh and the gold square in the photo... Of course that's from Leaves.
