Stellata in a grey Winter garden

Waikato skies are a monotonous high grey cloud cover today and the light is muted to say the least. Still got the washing dry on the line and stewed a kilogram of Ballarat apples and made a stockpot full of old fashioned pea and bacon hock soup. Wild weather further south in Wellington(moving north ) and the ground too wet here to mow the lawn, so the "winter scruffy" look will have to remain for now.
