Porty People and Places

The Saltire,  flanked by a bouncy Czech and frisky Russian seemed an appropriate subject to mark the sale of shares in RBS that began today.

The strength with which the wind was billowing these national pennants was testament to the continuation of our  non-summer weather!

These flags were flying outside our local gym and pool. It was good to have a swim after a very early morning voluntary shift and international Skype meeting calls. 

In the afternoon I was privileged to spend time at one of Scotland's most prestigious and superbly equipped secondary state schools. The phrase State of the Art is often overused. For this school today that phrase was spot on! It was good that the Head was so generous with their time, too, on the day that the Scottish Examination Results were sent to the students.
