The 4th of August

I was woken during the night by the wind - a gale was getting up and the rain was becoming torrential.

I drove to Glasgow this morning in those conditions and although it was a little drier in the city, the day was still much more like autumn than summer.

I drove back around 6.30 this evening and in Argyll  conditions were still very poor.    This was taken coming down the Leanach, and is the mobile phone mast just before Dunans.  It was enveloped in mist that was sweeping across the hillside.

There was no let up in the weather when we were away so we are now in our fourth month of unseasonal conditions.
