The Love Child Chronicles

A Pod is Born

I have documented the Hummingbird Vines in our yard for almost a year.

Today, new seed pods have appeared, and I can attest that they do produce more vines, for every time I mow the yard, I mulch new plants.

They are a hardy "weed," for sure.

Yes, they attract Hummingbirds, as well as Warblers and masses of bees. A gorgeous Magnolia Warbler visits daily, and I feel I am doing my part on saving bees.

If you have followed the progress of the vines, you know they looked dead back in April. "Dry Bones," are what they resembled.

Today, they look Tropical, and if it weren't for a "changed" fallen leaf in the back yard, I would believe that Summer would last for another 6 1/2 weeks.
