What becomes of the broken-parted

Happened upon this guy on a dredger with a bargeful of two-wheeled carcases  just fished out of the canal - well what else would you do with a dead bike in Amsterdam?

I'm heading home tomorrow so thought I'd do a quick blip for today as I don't have time yet for the mammoth one needed for the previous day's trip to Leiden. That will have to wait until I'm back in Wales. Thank you for all your comments while I've been away.
