Slavonice

Day 3 of my ceramics and figure drawing course. It has been enjoyable and relaxing with leisurely lunches. Today we drove to the Czech town of Slovonice which is only about 20 minutes over the border from where the course is. It is a lovely old town which has been faithfully restored. After lunch we had a stroll through the town and came across this Art Gallery in an old building with lovely coloured stone, stunning arches and dark cellars with uneven stone floors making it rather difficult to negotiate. It was filled with beautiful sculptures, mostly out of wood and bronze.
