Low level..

beach.  A dogs eye view..

Having a low horizon doesn't matter much on a beach so Flossie is likely to see further here.  That can spell trouble when that something is an innocent child bent double happily digging away in the sand.  For some reason Flossie thinks that looks like really good fun (or perhaps another dog to play with ) and will rush off to greet said child with a lot of wiggling as she approaches.  It seems to me that most children on beaches are terrified of small white dogs as they usually start to scream before she has had the chance to offer a scratchy paw covered in sand onto a bare leg..however ... even if they like small white wiggly dogs they don't appear to appreciate the scratchy paws on their (probably rather chilly) bare legs.  She just can't help herself.. she is convinced that everyone will love her no matter what.. it makes for rather a stressful walk on sunny days (unless I keep her on the lead all the time and where is the fun in that!!??)  Today she managed to terrify a small boy by going to say 'hello' He who set off running up the beach wailing which Flossie thought was all part of the game and she circled him bouncing as he ran up to the picnic (and Mum).. she also rushed up to a little girl  who was sitting in a specially made pool with sand castles all around.  All flossie wanted to do was give the little girl a kiss on the cheek but the wee girl was so surprised that she tipped over backwards into the pool and luckily giggled.. but the father was not impressed so swiped at Flossie to go away which thankfully she did!  All the time I was trying to get her to stay with me but that seemed a bit of a battle.. tomorrow I will keep her on the lead when there are a lot of picnics and people about.. but it seems a shame as she really didn't set out to be unkind.  No harm was done and most people smiled and no picnics were devoured by Floss.. so all's well that ends well.

Beautiful day!!
