one good thing

The only good thing about yesterday was that my beautiful dogs weren't harmed. So for that we're very thankful.
Had a very nice police lady do all the fingerprinting today - she was here for just over an hour. She took lots of photos and said it was ok to tidy up. Tomorrow morning we have someone from the insurance coming. It's not a nice feeling to walk around your home knowing that some scumbag has helped themselves to your most precious things. Discovered today that my engagement ring had disappeared too. Although everyone is being very helpful we don't think there's much hope of getting anything back.
