Ardyne evening

After a trying day that began without hot water or heating because of a gas leak and grumbled on through waiting for a gas man to confirm and fix said leak, having him locate a second leak at the meter and finding we had to wait for another gas man to come and fix the bit that he himself might just have jiggered turning the gas off yesterday ...  after all that we felt we needed a peaceful walk before dinner and took ourselves down to Toward and a walk along the Ardyne shore.

I sometimes think it is the possibility of doing this on a whim, of walking by the sea on a calm sunny evening (for note: it is sunny) - this is what I would miss most if I had for some reason to revert to city living. That and the golden light of evening which is so different from earlier in the day.

This is an unremarkable scene, showing Toward Hall and, to the right, Toward Sailing Club, but the colours are lovely and need little adornment.
