Paddle Happy

To supplement yesterday's description of kayaking on the River Dnistra, here they all are (minus Jessie who was with Bryan and me in our canoe) still going strong after paddling at least 10km by this stage.  A lot of paddling, splashing, laughing and singing with surprisingly few after effects today - just a few pink ankles where sunblock had been forgotten and achey upper arms which had had a more demanding day than usual.  A really good day to mark the end of our time in Saptebani.
This morning there was about half an hour of goodbyes and selfies before we headed off in Sasha's minibus once again to get back to Chisinau. A visit to the inspirational Beginnings of Life project and a guided tour of the Psychological Art Therapy studios, then shopping in the market and a final meal at Andy's Pizzas rounded off this Youth Mission Direct trip.
Six young people, all with wonderful individual qualities and skills who made a really good team (sometimes mum/starfish/llittle boy).  Thank you for all you put into the fortnight - I hope you will each be richly blessed by the experience and always feel a special love and compassion for the people and country of Moldova.  Love & hugs, Sarah x
