Moelfre a Maritime village on Anglesey

We travelled the 200 plus miles across to the West Coast to be on Anglesey for two weeks holiday, which culminate of Saturday 15th in the Moelfre lifeboat day when this tiny and sleepy village is transformed for just one day into a very crowded place indeed, with hundreds of boats in the bay for the annual Lifeboat Day.
This village has a fantastic reputation for the bravery of it's RNLI lifeboat crews over many years and attracts over a thousand visitors for the big day!
and I might add that everyone in the village joins in, for instance you can enjoy home baked cakes and plated salad meals in the local chapel, and there are fairground rides for the kids too.
and all proceeds go to the worthiest of causes, the RNLI.
