Board

You'll be getting board. Me, I'm enjoying this. Once you have an idea of what you're doing and where you make mistakes it all gets much easier. So, the start of another box. When I'd finished the camping box and started thinking that it was a bit too nice for camping, I sat it beside the stove and thought it would do nicely for the bits of kindling and newspaper that currently live untidily in a wicker basket. But it was too deep and maybe a bit too high. And there's still wood left.

10 clamps to make a board. You need them pulling the boards together but without the ones across the top, they just bow up, especially as I've planed the back smooth and the back of the groove is almost gone. The grooves that weren't broken lifting the boards in the first place.

This was after a day spent on the tender. Overall, it's better to do it and make progress than not do it and have that anxious feeling that you're leaving it too late. But it's in good shape, with every possibility of being finished early.
