Light ...

... at the end of a tunnel through dark clouds.

Winter has returned with a vengeance after a rather pleasant weekend, even if at times it was cold. I hadn't been home long when the rain stopped and the sunlight found a way through the heavy dark clouds onto the upper Waitemata Harbour.

Auckland has had hail, maybe snow, and being so unused to such weather, the peak hour after work traffic snarled to a standstill. We were therefore joined for dinner by daughter J who opted to stay in the city rather than fight the traffic out west to her new home.
