The Shambles at Night

I'm up north again, this time in York for  a few days.

Night photography was a must, with my first intentions being the Minster. However, size, scale and lack of a clear viewpoint (that isn't in the middle of a road) makes it tricky... my shots need a bit of work. Only the West door is floodlit; I had hoped that the Great East window would be revealed by now, but it is still swaddled in scaffolding.

So I ended up taking long exposures of the Shambles. I debated about whether to post the colour version, but I liked the slightly creepy feel of the mono version.
