As Forecast.....

..... and this should come as no surprise, to locals at least, the seasonal summer rain.   To be fair the forecasters did see this one coming, although I think they were edging their bets including the cloud, the sun, the lightening bolt (don't recall seeing that in real-life) and a touch of wind to complete the set.

Here we see one resourceful young gent managing not to get his feet wet following the 'showers' so as not to spoil his shiny new shoes.
