Nokia

If you've been following the tech news you'll know Nokia is laying off another 10000 people and closing a few R&D locations and a site in Ulm. Ulm was where a new low-end smartphone operating system, named Meltemi and linux based, was being developed. This was supposed to be the driver for the next billion units to be shipped by Nokia. Nokia make great hardware; shame about the software.

What happens to Nokia in the next few months is going to be interesting.

This is my 770 internet tablet; I also have an N810, N900 and N9: all linux based and all still working.
