Riverlog 2012 - Wildcat Reach of the Nooksack

Spent another day in the nooksack and it was just as great as usual. This is a picture of a restoration project the Nooksack Tribe completed in 2011 to improve conditions for spring chinook salmon. The goal of the project was to encourage flow into an existing side channel and stabilize channel islands through the construction of engineered logjams. So far things look great and the tribe is continuing with another phase this year as well.
