The End of Summer

I was told once that when the Fireweed has finished flowering, the end of summer has arrived in the Yukon. As the blossoms begin at the bottom and work their way to the top, I guess it's that time. Interestingly, I recently overheard some curious Americans, while waiting a flight to here, discussing if Fireweed might be some kind of high-potency marijuana. Hopefully they weren't disappointed.
