The Pipers Lament

A piper playing in Banbury market place is not something you often see. He played well and even though I asked him nicely he didn't want to move and make a better photo for me. I asked him if he cou;d play "Flow Gently Sweet Afton" but he didn't know the tune. This was my Grandfathers favourite piece of music and it would have made my day if he had played it. I remember sitting on Grandads knee and him singing it to me (and the smell of his pipe). Still I gave him some money and went on my way.
