Sporting Saturday

New Zealand has three national teams competing today so I have chosen a sporting icon on a Chorus power box.  This is Steven Adams who is a Rotorua born professional basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.  He is not playing for the Tall Blacks basketball team who tonight play the Australian Boomers in Melbourne.  The All Blacks rugby team are playing the Australian Wallabies in Auckland tonight.  The Silver Ferns netball team have today qualified for the netball world cup.  That list may explain why a lot of the proposed flag designs have the colour black or ferns on them.  I'm not a fan of black myself.  For BTW & Patrea this box is on Old Taupo Rd along from the Devon St/Otonga Rd roundabout.
