Devoted wife and mother

Better weather today. This is Constance Lucy kneeling in prayer by the tomb of her husband Sir Thomas Lucy II. The Lucy family lived at Charlecote Park in Warwickshire and William Shakespeare is thought to have been caught poaching on the estate when he was a youngster. Constance and Thomas Lucy had 8 daughters and 6 sons and their images are also on the tomb. Constance, must indeed, have been a very devoted wife and mother!
