Summer

We left Ulm after breakfast and drove to Immenstadt to go walking. We took the Mittagbahn up the hill, had lunch and walked to the Steineberg. The last 30 metres is quite exciting as you climb up a long ladder to reach the top. The view from the top is terrific with a contrast between the alpine foreland to the north and the Allgäuer Alpen to the south. This northern part of the Alps is limestone predominantly so the flowers are very numerous. The blip is taken on the summit ridge. We walked back down to the campervan; it was hot and the last time we bothered to do that.
