Quilatoa Loop Hike day 1

Today we set off for an intense 3 day hike across the Quilotoa loop, which is located south of Quito in Ecuador. The loop started in a small town called Sigchos, leading us to Isinlivi where the weather started to turn very cold! We met two girls (one American and one Dutch) on the bus and decided to hike together. Luckily we did because they had a map and instructions which came in very handy! After getting lost a couple of times we arrived in Isinlivi after hiking for 4.5 hours. We stayed a a lovely little hostel where the owner cooked us traditional Ecuadorian dinner and breakfast, and met a French couple going the opposite way .
