Compton Verney

Pete had come to stay the weekend so we all took off to spend some time at Compton Verney, especially as the weather had improved considerably over yesterday.

It's a great place for Kio to have a good run around with wide open spaces and lawns.  In fact we didn't actually make it to the adventure play area spending time in the family activity centre, where Kio made her favourite room, exploring the William Morris influenced wild flower garden, and drinking coffee.

Part of the outside activity was to find nine giraffes, I think we Kio had most of them.

We had a picnic lunch by the lake and eventually wend our weary way home where I prepared a pasta bake tea served with garlic bread and sausages (veggie of course) washed down with a very nice red brought over from the Yamagata area of Japan some years ago.
