A Blue Heron Wrap

I loved the way this blue heron looked wrapped up...it looks cold, but it was a beautiful perfect temperature day out at Fernhill Wetlands.  The place is really looking great although the water levels are low and many parts are dried up.  This is certainly a crazy summer since we've had virtually NO RAIN to speak of...very much NOT a typical Oregon summer.  The extra photo is of an osprey that was fairly interested in the "catch" one of the blue heron's had in his mouth!
