Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Mrs T's big day

A big day today as we celebrate Mrs T's three score years and ten.

The photograph was taken on Hadrian's wall in the winter of 1967. As you can see she belonged to the Mallory and Irvine tradition, preferring to tramp along the wall in her tweed jacket, wooly gloves and bonnet and her suede boots.

The extra photograph is to do with the tricky problem of a suitable present for some-one with whom you have spent more than 50 years. Mrs T is interested in religion, yoga, gardening and tranquility and so I hope that this was a good choice.

For the record, the '67 photograph was taken on  Kodachrome using my 1932 Leica.
