Osprey nest

Can you see the chick in the Osprey nest?

No!  It's Chloe!!!

Osprey nests are the size of a double bed! This one has been created by The Forestry Commission to show how big they are!!!

Osprey:- Wingspan  1m 60cm
                Length              6ocm
                Weight     nearly 2Kg

The ospreys have been coming to The Lake District for nearly 15 years. In a week or two they will be flying back to West Africa for the Winter.

We look forward to their return in The Spring!
