I hadn't actually planned to walk into the Lairig Ghru twice this week - the (ever reliable) weather forecast assured me that yesterday was going to be beautiful (it was) and that today was going to be seriously rubbish.

They were half right - the sun did indeed shine yesterday, but the promised rain just didn't materialise until late afternoon by which time I'd been most of the way up to the top of the Lairig Ghru (and got back to Loch an Eilein too).

Was surprised just how dry the mountain was high up - the pools that usually need to be forded were bone dry.
