KW17 4DL: Sweltering

This didn’t quite make it into the ‘I-Spy book of Esoteric Road Junctions’ however it does get a mention in ‘Spot that Post-box’ (3rd edition).  Obviously after some recent Scotland-wide publicity folk will realise it is the junction of Newhouse Road with the A964.

We have another stunningly warm day (albeit after OIC tugs were deployed to tow the bank of haar out into the Firth).  I even rose at the back of seven to go across to Stromness to wash my mum’s windows; no references to Ivan Morrison were made.  I am about to leave for the ‘Drome to pick up visitors.  They will be at Terminal 4, Gate 17.
