Long Pond: Success Story

Smoother ripply bokeh in large.

Well, the other mother may have lost all of her ducklings, but this mother mallard still has both of her mallardlings. I'm not sure how many she started with, but she has had these two since I first saw her last week. I suppose with only two, they were able to rest on her back and not get waterlogged. The pond has since been topped up, and the ducklings can now rest (and, crucially, dry out) in this drain. The sides are still too high for them to leave the pond properly...
