Peace

Imagine you are a guest at someones house and they had a dog and you knew that the owner of that dog does not like the dog to have too many tit bits especially as the dog has become a bit of a chunky monkey. In fact the dog rarely has tit bits - the occasional treat and he does get to lick the odd empty plate. Tit bits that he does get are carefully considered (well on the odd occasion he does decide that he is going to take matters into his own paws).

You ask the owner if the dog can have a treat dont you?

Erm no.

Now the owner lets a treat slide, but then starts to say to dog (in an effort to not make it a confrontation) you've had enough treats today you dont need any more. And then on the next day - I think you had enough treats yesterday you dont need any today.

Do you ignore this and continue to give treats?!

Well yes apparently you do for the rest of the week (despite owner saying he has had more than enough treats) and then when you are explicitly told to not give the dog any more do you ignore the request and turn round and say it doesnt matter he will soon lose it?????????

But then why should I have expected any different when apparently jelly babies are a valid dog treat :(

Sooo peed off ended up with a stress migraine yesterday and still suffering today but at least they have now gone home.

Oh and we now get to live with the side effects of a week of far too many treats (by treats I mean stuff that was saved from hotel breakfast to bring to dog, bits of lunch, the rest of dinner. There was a dog chew or two thrown in but I don't really like Ferd having them either at least they weren't the highly coloured ones) - toxic gas far more frequent and deadlier than normal
