Yellowfield

Part of a temporary landart and landscape initiative called 'Yelowfield'.

Its at the University of Strathclyde's 'Mobileland' site behind Glasgow's Alexander 'Greek' Thompson church.  They promote sustainable ideas to transform brownfield sites into green.

In May they planted 300 sunflower seedlings.  Sunflowers ae particularly effective as they absorb toxins from the soil as they would nutrients.  They also grow quickly, they are large, and they have visual appeal.

There is an Open Day this Saturday from 11am until 2pm which I told the nice lady who looks after them I would mention.
