Schoolboy!

Today was one of these proud Nana days!  That's both my lovely grandsons now schoolboys.  I took a half day off from work to go down to the house and take loads of pictures!  Luckily for this summer, it wasn't raining as has been the norm it seems for July and so far in August......  Ben was hyper and full of big smiles.  Cameron obliged with photos but I reckoned he was glad to escape and 8.20 to walk along the lane to meet up with his friend to walk up the hill to school.  The other grandparents and Aunty Janice were there too, all there to witness this big event in the life of it seems such a wee boy!

It sure doesn't seem like 5 years since I was doing the same thing, the very same day way back when Cameron started P1!!  Times moves so fast..

We walked the short distance to the school and we met up with Kalise, who is Ben's great friend and partner in crime, well mischief!  They were fooling around and then noticed the nursery kids hanging up their coats as the door to the nursery was open.  Mrs Harrold, the nursery teacher was helping Imogen, one of their former classmates from who is having her second year at nursery, with her coat at the door and she turned and saw Ben and Kalise standing watching her.  She gestured to how smart and big they looked in their school uniform and put on a sad face.  It was one of these sweet moments before they turned and went in the proper school door.  Happy as Larry, all of them.  A nice touch was a verse handed out by Ben's teacher to all the parents.  I have added some extra photos today.

This day, 18 August, coincides with my very first day on Blip five years ago.  Don't have five years worth of pictures, but I do have many memories documented which I am so glad about.
