GP Bashing

Another day and another episode of GP bashing. This time we are prescribing too many antibiotics - and my GP friends in England face getting hauled up in front of the regulator. The facts are that we in the UK have low rates of antibiotic usage in contrast to many European countries where you can by them off the shelf. The other important fact is that we have a GP recruitment crisis and this sort of nonsense does nothing to attract young docs to the profession.
