Well, don't feel surprised.

It's simply the date (18th August) in Chinese - month (月yuè) goes before the date 日(rì). That's what I just completed today - making e-learning materials for Mandarin Chinese and it's part of a taster lesson - counting in Chinese, time concepts and lucky numbers in Chinese culture.

The number 8 is conceived the luckiest one among the basic numbers (1-9) because 8, pronounced bā in Chinese, sounds very close to the pronunciation of 发 (fā) which means great fortune or to prosper.

However, my colleague who helped me with recording and editing suffered a technical failure after 3 hours' productive work which could not be saved in a way through the online platform. That's a bad example, isn't it?

But it was such a great day of sunlight and warm air - 21 degrees. Roses to everyone here ;-)
