Pro driving

A busy day at Sandown Park race course, near Esher in Surrey. We were there for the annual Professional Driver Car of the Year judging, with a vast array of cars competing for awards, and all lined up waiting for us to assess. We paired up to judge them, taking it in turns to drive and to ride in the back seat like a chauffeured passenger.

We all chose different categories, and ours was executive cars. Here is my colleague JG writing his scores after we drove the Maserati Ghibli.

The extra photo shows something interesting we spotted inside the bootlid: an anti-kidnap cord to use for escape if you find yourself trapped in the boot! It's a feature sometimes found in top-notch models sold in the US ...
