Aftermath

When they breached the river yesterday, a series of nets was strung in front of the channel to prevent any fish from being washed out to sea. As predicted, once the water level in the river was reduced, the channel was filled in and the beach is back to normal. This morning the crew was busy gathering the nets and trundling them off to storage. Didn't see any herons or egrets--they made need some time to get comfortable, but there were hordes of seagulls, maybe more than usual.
