From Humble Beginnings...

Another interesting find in The Museum Of Technology, Cambridge. This is the AB520, 1905 vintage wall telephone, invented by L.M. Ericsson It has a writing slope, metal battery lid, and handset. Lars Magnus Ericsson, 1846 - 1926 was a Swedish entrepreneur. At the age of 12 he worked as a miner until he had saved enough money to go to Stockholm.There, he worked for 6 years as an instrument maker and won 2 State Scholarships for further study in the skill. Ericsson is now one of the largest companies in Telecommunications and data systems, including mobile networks.
