Saguaro

We spent the morning at the Saguaro National Park, home to vast tracts of crazy western cactus, before embarking on an overly-long drive way into California and thus reducing the whole state of Arizona to just a couple of stops - possibly the most random section of our itinery on this particular trip. There was a somewhat stressful section, traffic-wise, as we rounded the bottom of Phoenix and then a long drag through the desert as the outside temperature rose to a high of 113 degrees. Luckily we had a lovely cabin waiting for us at the peaceful and beautiful Oasis of Mara at 29 Palms...
