A Day in the Life of Me!!

Luna Moth..

A couple of years ago we had one of these on the screen but was gone before I could get outside with the camera. Very early this morning there was one again...and he stayed for hours. I managed to get some shots of it (not the best as it was dark out) in all it's glory..it must have been at least 5-6 inches..so cool.

Luna Moths were once very common, but are now considered an endangered species in some areas. Adult Luna Moths don't eat; in fact, they don't even have a mouth. They only live for about a week, and their only purpose is to mate. They fly, only at night, in Spring and early Summer.
